- Scheme is launched by Punjab Government
- The purpose of Bebe Nanki Ladli Beti Scheme
- To stop the female foeticide
- To impart the quality education to girls
- To give financial assistance to the poor families for the upbringing of the girl child
Benefits under the Bebe Nanki Ladli Beti Scheme
- The girl child gets Rs 2,100 on the 3rd and the 6th birthday
- An equal amount is given when the girl gets admission to Class IX
- Her family gets Rs 31,000 when the girl gets admission to Class XII
- From Class I to VI, Rs 7,200 is given as scholarship (Rs 100 per month)
- From Class VII to XII, she gets Rs 14,400 (Rs 200 per month).
